A new industry-first ECU lock function helps prevent theft and unauthorized engine start-up via a password-required lock. New four-level Traction Control selectable within the Yamaha Power Tuner App maintains ideal rear wheel traction.
Fully adjustable Speed Sensitive KYB® fork delivers exceptional balance between handling and bump absorption. Premium Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tires achieve an ideal balance of traction and durability. The YZ450FX’s 18-inch rear wheel comes laced with a three-cross-spoke pattern for improved impact absorption and rider feel. Premium Excel® wheels are strong, lightweight and reduce unsprung weight without sacrificing durability.
Sleek air cleaner cover provides tool-free access to the air filter for simplified servicing. Premium competition-inspired graphics are embedded to provide excellent durability and scratch resistance. Other enduro-specific features include a 2.1-gallon fuel tank with warning indicator, composite engine guard and sealed drive chain.
